hidserv - hidserv.exe

hidserv.exe (hidserv stands for Microsoft Human Interface Device Audio Service), a Windows NT/2000/XP generic process used for managing user interface peripherals such as hot buttons or certain USB peripherals.

The file that corresponds to this process is normally found in the directory "%SystemRoot%\system32\hidserv.exe" (where %systemroot% is usually C:\WINDOWS by default).

The process hidserv is not in any way a virus, a worm, a Trojan horse, spyware, or adware.

It is a system process which can be terminated.
