One of the best FTP servers currently on the market, FileZilla Server is a server that can support FTP and FTP over SSL/TLS and can provide secure encrypted connections to the server.
The users just have to select the components they wish to install during the installation. Then, they can pick from up to three options according to the way the FileZilla Server should be started, that is to say, as a service with Windows, manually or automatically. Log file is displayed on the main window of the program. By that way, users will know what's happening with the service, connections, transfers or other actions. Three main sections are offering customization options such as "Setup", "Users" and "Groups". The "Settings" allows changes in the server, including IP bindings, IP filter, security tools, passive mode security, logging, admin interface, autoban, speed limits, SSL and TLS settings as well as file transfer compression. For the "Users" and "Groups" sections, they are obviously reserved to accounts settings (shared folders, speed limits and IP filters.)
- Fix parsing of IP address filters ending with :0 or equivalent substringss.
- Allow speed limits larger than 64 MiB/s.
- If transfer connection cannot be established, it shows more verbose error messages.
- Use of a proxy.
Some minor slowdowns may occur when the connected clients download files at high speeds.
