Speak Freely

Speak Freely
Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows XP, Windows 2000, English
Speak Freely is a program for sending voice over the Internet. It can also be used to send instant messages.

Key Features

  • VoiP: this utility is first and foremost a Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoiP). Like email or instant messaging software, Speak Freely enables to send and receive voice free of charge. This means that it can call anyone on its network.
  • Half/Full-Duplex: communication is not simultaneous but in both direction. This means that Speak Freely is working as a walkie-talkie. There is no waste of the channel switching which is making it interesting. If the sound hardware is equipped with a full-duplex, there is an option to perform "conference calls" with this tool.
  • Encryption: to avoid other people to eavesdrop conversations. This program offers 128bit IDEA key, DES and PGP key exchange that can protect any call sessions performed with Speak Freely. Messages can also be encrypted.
