File Properties Editor is an application for changing the properties of a file, a folder or an application. It has been specially designed for Mac.

Key Features

Selection: to quickly access a file, users can drag/drop the folder into the main interface. The entire directory content is automatically displayed and they will have to select the one to process with. It is also possible to choose from the menu.

Editing properties: this task involves both folders and applications. Apart from names and date of creation, File Properties Editor is able to redefine the type of document and even change the extension. With a clear interface, it is simple to handle.

Editing attributes: it is also possible to put a document in read-only mode. To hide certain files, we can opt for the invisible status. This option can be applied for some extension. To do this, the user just has to select the file and uncheck the right box.


File Properties Editor provides an option to lock and unlock files.

This software is multilingual, including English.


Finder has to be restarted so as to activate changes.
