K3b is a software designed to burn CD or DVD on Linux. It is especially optimized for KDE environment. In addition, it includes a feature allowing the user to increase the performance of some disks.

Key features

Conversion: this function is included in the program. Before the process, the user can choose the output file format. Indeed, K3b enables the user to encode a multimedia file into another format such as AVI or MP3.

Burn: the main function of this program is to burn different types of data such as music or videos, in CD or DVD. This application also supports the creation of image files such as ISO.

Ripping: another feature of K3b is its ability to extract data from the CD, whether the entire content or only a part of it. The user is also given the ability to recover stored data on the disk.

Rename: this software has also been equipped with a sophisticated patter system to rename ripped tracks. To do this, the user can refer to the title, artist name or the track number and proceed in batch.
