Issue

How can I hide the desktop icons (same as under Windows) when using Gnome desktop manager?

If you want to hide the desktop icon under gnome, simply launch the:

gconf-editor
  • Apps
  • Nautilus
  • Preferences.
  • Uncheck the show_desktop option
  • Close gconf-editor.
