Windows 7 - Disable hibernation

The hibernation feature of Windows 7 comes with the certain price (the hibernation file consumes some disk resources).
In the case you want to disable this feature:
  • Click on Start > Run > type "regedit" to launch the Registry editor
  • Expand the following key:
    • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power
  • Locate and set these two value to 0:
    • HibernateEnabled
    • HiberFileSizePerfect
