How to create a recurring task in Outlook?





Microsoft Outlook allows you to create recurring tasks. A recurring task is a task that must be accomplished on a regular basis (for example, an action to perform every Friday). By creating this type of task, Microsoft Outlook will remind you that you must perform this action each week. Once the task is marked as completed, Outlook will automatically create the next task.
  • In the menu bar, click File then New . Select Task.
  • In the box object, type the name you want your job. In the text box, enter all the possible elements that you would like to add additional information.
  • Click Frequency and find information about the periodicity of the action to perform.
  • You can choose between several types of frequency :
    • Daily
    • Weekly
    • Monthly
    • Annual


Options allow to refine the options to renew . The options available change depending on your chosen frequency. For example, if you want to create a daily task, you can choose to renew it every day (7 days per week) or every weekday.

Enter the start date and end date ( frequency range ).


Click OK to return to the main screen to create the task.
Click Save and Close to save your work.
When the task is marked as completed, Outlook will automatically recreate the next task in complying with the information entered during creation.
