December 2016

K3B is a burning utility which run under operating system Linux.

Under Kubuntu, this tool is installed as default. If you wish to use this application with Ubuntu, click on below

Thanks to note that for burning an audio CD with this application, you will have to install an additional package(creating a disk read by any CD from MP3 files for example)

You should also consider that if you have not switch it of at start of K3B, below error message will display:

The plugin Mp3 Audio decoding was not found.
K3b could not load or find the Mp3 decoder plugin. This means that you should not be able to create Audio CDs from MP3 files. Many Linux distributions do not include Mp3 support for legal reasons.
Solution: To enable Mp3 support, install the Mp3 decoding library as well as the MAD plugin K3b MAD Mp3 decoding (the latter must already be installed but not working due to lack of library MAD). Some distributions allow installation of Mp3 support via an online tool (ie SuSE).

To create audio CDs with K3B, you should type the following command in a terminal:
sudo apt-get install libk3b3-extracodecs
