Google Chrome - Prevent websites from handling protocols


By default websites can request Google Chrome to become the default handlers from protocols. To disable this feature:
  • Open Google Chrome
  • Click on the Customize and control Google Chrome menu > Settings.
  • Click on Show advanced settings.
  • Go to Privacy > Content Settings
  • Next to "Handlers", select "Do not allow any site to handle protocols"
