Clear the Skype Name displayed at the login screen

Under Windows 7

  • Close Skype.
  • Double-click on My Computer.
  • Go to Tools> (Tools) Folder Options (Folder Options).
  • On the View tab, select Show hidden files and folders, then click Apply and OK.
  • Double-click Local Disk (C :).
  • Double-click on Users folder > Username.
  • Double-click on the AppData folder (AppData). [Note: In Windows Vista, the folder is called /AppData/Roaming/].
  • Double-click the Roaming folder.
  • Double-click the Skype folder.
  • Delete the folder with the Skype name you want to delete from the login screen.

Under MacOS

  • Close Skype.
  • Double-click the Macintosh HD icon on your desktop.
  • Open the following folder : ~/Library/Application Support/Skype/ (Note: The ~ sign means your home directory. You can find your root folder by opening *Finder and selecting Go > Home in the menu bar
  • Delete the folder with the Skype name you want to delete from the login screen.
