Windows 8.1 - How to restore your Libraries

Issue

Windows 8 libraries have stopped working. Each time I try to open the Documents, Music, Pictures or Video folder, the following error is displayed:
"..library-ms" is no longer working"

Solution

Try to restore your libraries:
  • Open Windows Explorer > Libraries
  • Right-click on the "Libraries" folder.
  • Select "Restore Default Libraries"

If you are encountering this problem with a specific library, it should be noted that each library can individually be restored. The procedure is follows:
  • Open Windows Explorer > Libraries
  • Select the library of your choice.
  • Click on the "Manage Menu" > "Restore Settings".
