Twitter apps: DM synchronization

Twitter apps: DM synchronization

The Twitter apps benefit from a major update. They now integrates the synchronization of DM (Direct messages) thus updating the status of your Direct messages on all Twitter accounts. This new feature is available for the Android, iPhone, iPad apps and Mac support, but also on twitter.com, mobile.twitter.com and TweetDeck.

How does DM sync works?
Until then, when a Direct Message (DM) was read on a support (e.g on your iPad), it will still have the unread status when connecting to your Twitter account via another support. With this update, when you read a DM, its status will automatically be updated on the other Twitter apps!
In addition, Twitter has improved the search tool for the Android, iPhone, iPad apps and twitter.com. When searching for people, the result also include full bio.
The preview pane to the left of the screen, will display possible suggestions for similar results. Finally, on the search result pages, a new "in-app" indicator will specify if there are new tweets related to the query.
