Transfer Files Between Android and PC with AirDroid

AirDroid is an application that allows you take control of your Android phone or tablet from your computer. In addition to transferring photos, music, and videos between your phone and your PC, AirDroid also allows you to send and receive text messages on your computer, and even locate and lock your device in the case of loss or theft. This article will give you a quick rundown of how to take advantage of the application.

Connecting your PC and Android Device

The first step is to download and install AirDroid onto your Android device. Once downloaded, launch the application.

The AirDroid web address and a QR code will be displayed:

Open your PC, go to and go to

A QR code will be displayed on the homepage. Scan the code with your mobile phone by pressing on the Scan QR code button on the AirDrop app.

Once connected, the model of your smartphone will appear at the top right of the screen of your PC.

Move Files from Android Device to Your PC

Click the icon of the media type that you would like to transfer.

In the screen that opens, select the files of your choice. Then click on Download:

In the Toolbox located on the right side of the AirDroid page, click on File.

Windows Explorer will open. Now, simply drag and drop your files to the Upload box.
