Windows 8.1 - How to disable the spell checker


Windows 8.1 natively integrates a spell checker feature. In the case that you want to disable this feature, follow the below procedure:
  • Open the Charm Bar by pressing the Windows key + C.
  • Go to Settings > Change PC settings > PC & Devices.
  • Go to the "Typing" section.
  • Turn off the following options:
    • Autocorrect misspelled words.
    • Highlight misspelled words.
