How to disable the GPS feature of your iPhone or iPad


Many applications make use of the GPS unit of your iPhone for geo tagging purposes, which may have an impact on the battery life of your phone.
If you want to disable the GPS unit of your iPhone or iPad, follow the below procedure:.
  • Go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services.
  • Turn off the Location Services option.


NB: Instead of disabling this feature permanently, you can can selectively disable the location services for each of your apps.
