Windows 8.1 is equipped with a Location platform, which makes sharing your location simpler than ever. When enabled, location-sharing gives you access to location-specific features that would otherwise be unavailable, like some elements of GPS. By default, Windows 8.1 automatically manages your location settings for you, but you can disable this tendency.
