To adjust the size of the virtual memory, go to:
  • Start> Control Panel> System > Advanced System Settings.
  • Under "Performance" click "Settings".
  • Go under the "Advanced" tab.
  • Under "Virtual Memory", click "Edit".
    • Initial size = 1.5 times the amount of RAM installed.
    • Maximum size = Same as the initial size to avoid fragmentation.
