PlayStation 4 - How to change the default video output settings

By default, the PlayStation 4 will automatically manage video output settings, but if you want to use a specific video resolution:
  • Go to Settings > Sound and Screen.
  • Select Video Output Settings > Resolution.
  • Select your default resolution:
    • 480p
    • 720p
    • 1080i
    • 1080p (the default resolution for most PS4 games)
