Internet Explorer - Prevent Users from Enabling/Disabling Add-ons

Here's how to prevent users from enabling/disabling add-ons on Internet Explorer.

Prerequisites

  • Administrator privileges.
  • Any version of Windows with access to the Group Policy editor.

Procedure

  • Open the Run menu
  • Type gpedit.msc and press Enter.
  • Go to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Internet Explorer.
  • Double click on Do not allow user to enable or disable add-ons
  • Select Enabled.
