Facebook gives you the ability to import any contacts from your different email accounts (Outlook, Gmail, Yahoo, etc.) to your address book. Although this sync offers a quick and easy way to organize your contacts, one major drawback is that your imported contacts may include professional acquaintances and people who you don't necessarily want to "friend" on the social network.
In order to avoid any mishaps, it is recommended that you delete any "unwanted" contacts from your contacts list before sending out friend requests on Facebook. This article will teach you how to remove imported contacts from your Facebook.
Manage Imported Contacts in Facebook
Connect to your Facebook account, and then, go to your profile page. Click the Friends tab and then the Friend requests button:
Head to the Add Personal Contacts section, and click the Manage imported contacts link:
The Manage invitations and imported contacts page will open. Any contacts imported from your email accounts, smartphone, Skype, or the cloud will be listed here. Tick the appropriate checkboxes to select the entries that you want to remove and click Delete Selected:
Click Done to confirm deletion. You can now send the invitations to any remaining contacts.
