Some features of Windows 10
(such as Cortana, Maps, Weather...) will require access to your location data to work properly. Location-based services are enabled by default in Windows 10
, but if you'd like to, you can disable location services
for specific apps or for the entire device (all user accounts) in a couple of easy steps.
How To Stop Apps from Accessing Your Location
Log in to Windows 10
using an administrator account. Click Start
> Choose apps that can use your location
. Here, you'll find all the options to control app access to your location data:
How To Disable Location Services for the Entire Device
While in Location
settings, click on the Change
button displayed below Location for this device
and toggle the Location services
