The recommended procedure requires that you download the Games for Windows Software Setup from Microsoft’s website and then install the program on your PC.
Once downloaded, do a right-click on the program installer > Run as Administrator. If you are using Windows 8 or 10, you’ll also have to edit the compatibility settings. Right-click on the program installer > Properties > Compatibility tab > Compatibility mode. Tick the Run this program in compatibility mode for checkbox and then select Windows 7 from the drop down list.
