SFR settings for a HTC P4350




Issue


After purchasing a HTC P4350 smartphone, I unable to configure it to connect to the Internet and send MMS with SFR.

Solution

Configuration for WAP service

  • On the device, go to Start then Settings.
  • In the Connections tab, go to Connection
  • In Advanced tab, select networks.
  • Press on New.
  • In the Enter a name to these parameters, enter: WAP HTC
  • Select the Modem tab, then click New.
  • In the Enter a login name, enter: WAP HTC
  • Select the modem list and select Cellular Line (GPRS) / (GPRS, 3G), and then do Next.
  • In the Name of access point, enter: wapsfr and select Next.
  • Press OK twice to finalize.
  • Click the Tasks tab and click Set up my proxy server settings for WAP HTC.
  • Check the box This network connects to the Internet via a proxy server
  • Select HTTP in the Server field and enter 195.115.25.129
  • In the Port field enter 8080
  • Click on OK.
  • Open Internet Explorer and go to the address wap.sfr.net

Settings for MMS

  • On the device, do Start, then Settings.
  • Go to the Connections tab, then Connections.
  • Then on the Advanced tab and select networks.
  • Press on New.
  • In the field Enter a name to these parameters, enter: MMS HTC
  • Then go to the Modem tab, then click New.
  • In the field Enter a login name, enter: MMS HTC
  • Then on the Select a modem list, select Cellular Line (GPRS)/(GPRS, 3G).
  • Press on New.
  • In the Name of access point, enter: mmssfr and Next.
  • Then select Finish.
  • Press Ok



Follow these steps to configure the settings of the MMS server and complete the configuration.
  • Do Start.
  • Select Messaging.
  • Then Menu
  • Select Tools, Options, MMS or select MMS Configuration.
  • Select the Servers tab.
  • Add New or select Sample server.
  • In the Server Name field, enter: MMS HTC
  • In the Gateway field, enter: 10.151.0.1
  • In the Port Number field, enter: 8080
  • In the Server Address field, enter: http://mms1
  • Select MMS HTC, below the Connect via option
  • Select WAP 2.0, as WAP version
  • Press OK
  • Select Set default in case there are several servers.
  • Finally, select OK and return to the messaging menu.
    • Send an MMS to test configurations.
