Windows installer CleanUp utility software for Microsoft Windows operating systems is made to eliminate uninstalled fragments of programs. The software uses registry references and files related to Windows Installer installed by several programs, and compulsorily wipes invalid entries. It can be used in 32-bit and 64-bit Microsoft OS's. It's to clean up installed programs that either refuse to be, or pretend not to be deleted from the add/remove programs feature in Microsoft Windows.
It modifies registry values and files related with the Windows Installer part. It will not remove most of files on the system but must be used as last option when facing an infected program. The utility is available only with system administration rights.
Microsoft Windows Installer is a utility tool that manages applications with the MSI extension.
If an application with the extension .MSI is corrupted or damaged, the below error message will be displayed during a program installation:
"Error applying transforms. Verify that the specified transform paths are valid"
"Fatal error during installation"
"Unable to access the Windows Installer service"
"Unable to open this path. Contact the vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer patch package.
The Windows Installer CleanUp utility can remove the corrupt file that was the result of a failed installation.
