Hide CD/DVDrom drive in my computer




Issue


I want to know if there is a way to hide my CD/DVD-rom drive in "my computer"

Solution

  • Click on start and launch Regedit
  • Double click on HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies \ Explorer
  • Create new Dword and named it "Nodrives"
  • Assign value to your drive as show in example

=> Hide drive A : 1
=> Hide drive B : 2
=> Hide drive C : 4
=> Hide drive D : 8
=> Hide drive E : 16
=> Hide drive F : 32
=> Hide drive G : 64
=> Hide drive H : 128
  • Saved and restart your computer
