Dell Vostro 220 series Dell drivers needed

August 2015

For Dell Vostro 220 series laptop computers there are some key drivers for the new version of Windows XP which are not available with the respective model. Even though the internet continues to function properly, the Video controller, VGA compatible video controller, Audio device with high definition audio bus and 'bus' controller are amongst the key drivers unavailable. A simple solution to this problem is to download the key drivers from Dell's official website. It is required to just select the model number and the operating system and follow the link http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx to find the missing key drivers mentioned above.

Issue

I have recently installed a new version of Windows XP on my Dell Vostro 220 series. The only problem is that it is missing key drivers. I managed to get my internetworking, but I can't seem to find any of the others:

1. Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus
2. SM Bus Controller
3. Video Controller
4. Video Controller (VGA Compatible)

Solution

Simply go to Dell's official website and choose the model of your laptop and XP as your OS; then download the drivers to install - follow this link:
