Forgot Yahoo password and no longer have the same number

Hello

I cannot access my yahoo account using my password? It needs to verify my cell phone number and my number has changed because my phone was stolen. My backup account is also a yahoo account and is on the same contact number. I really need to access my account as it is my primary email address. Why can't I just use my password like you always could before?

There is nothing you can do if you created the account on the mobile device or number you no longer have access to.

Always create accounts on a PC or Laptop (landline IP), and then attach a recovery email to it. That way, you can have multiple ways to recover the account!
