Laptop thinks it has an ethernet cable inserted

Hello, People of CCM

My laptop thinks he has an ethernet cable inserted but doesn't even have a Ethernet port my wifi won't connect.

Please help!

Post a screen shot of the network adapters so we can see what you are referring to, please. Also, what is the make and model of the laptop?
