Create Yahoo account with no mobile number

To whom it may concern: I would like to become a new member of Yahoo, but ran into some problems when submitting my information. I tried to provide my information for new membership, but I have no mobile phone (cell phone). I gave them my home phone, but apparently that was not recognized. What does one do if they have no mobile?

Hi

You don't need a mobile number to create a new account, but you can give your excite email as an alternate address for eventual recovery.

There's an option to change the mobile number to an alternate/secondary email.
