I cant open or eject my dvd rom in windows 7 ultimate 64 bit..

Hello,

guys i have a intel dual core i3 processor with 2 gb ram and 500 gb hd..my dvd drive was working absolutly fine few mnths back.. but yesterday when i tried opening it.. it didnt open but the green light blinks as in its about to open.. i tried right clicking to eject it but everytime when i right or left click on cd/dvd drive icon the windows hangs and says not responding.. any solutions..?

there is normally a small hole in the tray that you can use a paper clip to eject the tray.
