Monitor remains turned off (not blank screen) when pc is on

My monitor is turned off. By off i mean no light blinking. My cpu is on but the problem is my monitor. It suddenly turned off and wont turn on even when I tried reconnecting the cables. I dont know what is the problem if it is the cables or my monitor. Please help. I dont have any other monitor i could try it on. I am not literate in computer stuff sorry.

To the determine if it's the monitor, try another monitor.

Sorry, it's the only way to troubleshoot the issue to determine if it"s the monitor or your graphic card. Perhaps you could borrow a monitor or try your monitor on someone else's computer?

I could try it in someone else's computer. I have a laptop, will it work here?
