Laptop shuts down

HP laptop used to shut down. I'd open and close the lid and it would restart. Now the screen is black, fan on, blue light. I cannot see anything. Help! I tried removing the power supply, holding down the button, reinserting power cord. No success.

OK, can you take a picture of the "light blue" screen and post it here?
