1TB Flash Drive takes an hour to transfer a mere 200mb

Hello. I recently bought a 1TB 2 in 1 OTG Flash Drive online. The problem is, it takes an hour to transfer a mere 200mb from my laptop to it. Anything larger means I have to leave my laptop on overnight.

Also, for some reason, the files that I am able to transfer successfully disappear the minute I disconnect the flash drive from my laptop. It shows me that the files successfully transferred, but the minute I disconnect and then reconnect it at a later time, the files are gone and it shows me that the drive once again has 976Gb Free again.

I have a 32gb flash drive that performs SO MUCH better than 1tb one, even though it's much older than the 1tb one.

Is there any way these problems can be fixed? Or do I have to write this off as a loss?

What is the make and model of your drive?

No name. After purchasing it, it came in a plain white plastic bag.
