Laptop wont turn on

Hi can anyone help me my acer laptop wont come on there is a message on the top left of the screen saying a disk read error occured pressctrl+del to restart but this is not working i have not even put a disk in to it ?

Your Hard disk has failed, or like you said, you have not placed a HDD into play.
