Hello,

I am getting blue screen of death while installing xp , everyone suggested to change to BIOS From AHCI or RAID to ATA , but my question is that i am using HP-Pavilion G6 and i can't find any option to change the BIOS . Help Me ,
I tried pressing F10 when starting laptop but my bios has nothing enabling me to change bios only main, security, diagnostics, and system configuration under the tabs at the top. under system configuration the only options are language, virtualization technology, fan always on, action keys mode, usb legacy, and boot options. so I am at a loss.

Hi

HP-Pavilion G6 came with OEM Windows 7 installed, you cannot install XP over it.

XP is no longer supported. Installing XP would also require installing SP 2 and SP3, then again you are looking for trouble.

You are welcome. If you wish to go back to Windows 7 but are have problems, try restoring to previously working configuration or to factory settings.
