I have Micromax canvas lap tab LT666

OS: Windows 10 home single language version 1703

Processor: Intel R Atom (TM) CPU Z3735F @1.33GHz

32bit operating system, x84 based

Ram: 2 GB

My problem is that if I connect Samsung DVD writer model SE208 ver: DB to my Canvas lap tab though it is shown as DVD RW drive F: in my computer or This PC, but no disk can be read.
If I click on the icon tray of DVD writer opens and in lap tab message comes “Please insert a disk into drive F:”

However the same DVD writer functions well in my other laptop Sony Vaio. In that it can play movie, read files install any software.

Thus it seems that DVD writer is OK.

I have checked device manager and driver installed in Vaio laptop and Canvas laptab is same and same version.

Deleted Upper & Lower profile in regedit.

Tried Mr. Fix it from Microsoft.

Please help me to resolve the issue.

Thanking you,

JAY

Hi

Have you tried to reinstall or update the driver?

Thanks Ambucias,

Yes I tried to update the driver
present driver provided by Microsoft
Dated: 21.6.2016
version: 10.0.15063.0
digital signer: Microsoft Windows

With same driver the DVD writer functions normally in another Laptop Sony VAIO, O/S Windows 7 ultimate.
