Won’t start up

Hello,
I have Acer laptop with Windows 10 as the OS. Earlier today I tried turning on my laptop. It does open until the “Acer” was on the screen but long after that it stays black although I can still move the arrow.

P/s: please do ask anything if you’re having trouble understanding my grammar/vocabulary.

Press the numlock key. If a light response, the PC is NNOT hung. Press the Windows Key (start) and see if anything responds. If not, then go ahead and press CONTROL-ALT-DELETE, and START a NEW task from the TASK MANAGER. Type in "Explorer". You should see the screen repaint. Post back.
