Cant install kaspersky internet security

Hello,
I'm trying to install a kaspersky internet security registered version but couldn't as in the install process it prompts me to first remove the avg 8 antivirus which i have already removed from my computer. I tried to remove from the registry but couldn't enter the registry using regedit in the RUN command prompt. please advise

Hello make sure you have service pack 3 installed on your system before installing kaspersky!
