My laptop won't turn on

Hello,
I was using my compaq CQ54 then it went off because it had no power. I charged it but whenever i would press the power button it shows the light but it doesn't turn on the laptop.what should I do. I tried to remove the battery n use it but it's still the

Hi

Remove the battery and cable, press and hold the power button for 58 seconds and replug and start.
