No access code sent to confirm account

Out of no where after 10 years of having my Facebook the social site blocked my login completely and my FB is gone claiming I need to confirm my account with a cel number. When doing so I repeatedly get the same error message which states I have attempted to many requests for an access code and will need to wait 24 hours before trying again. Problem is my access code is never sent.
It’s been about 3 weeks now and each attempt causes the same issue. What happened to my account. Will I ever be able to recover my account? Am I just in FB jail? Or is my account gone for good?!
