Hello, I have a desktop computer operating with Windows Vista. My son has a computer upstairs that operates with Windows XP. He has a wireless router hooked up but when he sets up his wireless encryption protection I am unable to connect into the system downstairs. He claims that my Windows Vista is attempting to control the wireless connection and that I have to find out how to get around this problem. He has dumped it on me. I need to do something that will provide me wireless protection but also allow me to log into the internet.

I would appreciate any help.

hi joel,

any operating system like Vista or any other windows don't hack anything automatically . if your son had configered WEP encryption then you need the key or the password to connect to the network . ask your son for that 10 digit WEP key he is using for the encryption and type it in the password field when you try to connect to the network.

let me know at think_different56@yahoo.co.in if it does't work
