Access database restarts computer

Hello,
I have an Access 2003 split database that I have been working on for some time now and today when I go to open it my computer does a restart, even if I go to the front end through explorer and just highlight the app my computer restarts, does anyone know about this or have any advice please

hi,

therte may be a virus hiding in the file.

install an antivirus, update it and then scan your computer.

this will remove any threat in the computer.

or it may be that the file is corrupt.

Thank you for responding to my problem, I do have av running but you made me think about running the av in safe mode then trying to open the db in safe mode which it did after running the repair it now works in normal mode,
