Will PS3 on regular TV work?

Hello,
I bought ps3 for my husband on his 30th bday..its tomorrow & i havent yet given the gift to him. but the only thing that concerns me is that we dont have HD tv..we have a regular Toshiba tv which is around 45"&its model number is 36AF53. so will ps3 work on this tv?& how different are the graphics gonna be from ps2?(we already have ps2.
pls help!!!!ITS URGENT!

yea don't worry it will work as long as the ps3 has those yellow,white,and red component wires they should work on a normal television

Hi my TV dosent have HDMI connection so my ps3 slim will not get a picture on TV but I used a red white yellow cable but still no picture help plz
