Dvd driver for dell inspiron 6000

Hello,
I have a dell inspiron 6000 laptop and rebooted due to virus problem. Now I cant find the DVD driver. Is there any way that I can get it reinstalled at free of cost? Please do needful.

Please check on your bios settings,

Go on onboard devices,

Just enable the flash module bay

Save and exit

Restart the laptop

With some of these updates they cause more problems than good. I had the same problem as you did. It's not that your driver was lost but hidden. Go to your start and then in the run area type regedit, this will bring you into the registry be very careful in here this is the brain of the operation. All you have to do is find HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325 -11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} - "Upperfilters" and "Lowerfilters".
Delete the upper and lowerfilters key and voila it will be back for you. If you have any other questions get a hold of me.
