My nikon coolpix memory card wont work

Hello,
I have nikon coolpix L5, I just brought a first champion sdhc 4gb memory card that's supposed to be compatible, but when I go to take a picture it say You cannot use this card?

How do you format it, when I put it in the camera as soon as I turn it on it says this card wont work, and it wont let me use any other function, like go to the menu, the message just stays there until I take the card out.

I'm facing the same problem. 4GB SDHC card is not working with coolpix L5. The card works fine in laptop & a digital frame. But not with L5. I thought L5 was compatible with SDHC card.

Did you ever get the PNY memory to work?

My Coolpix would just freeze up after taking one picture.
Nikon said PNY is not compatable and referred me to the user manual... Pg 132 I think.

I was using a 4G card in my Coolpix. It worked for a while, but then after I took one picture it would freeze up.
Nikon said PNY is not supported on the Coolpix.

Who new?

Hye Sir,

You should format the memory card and then take photos,

This will fix the problem
