sata and ideClosed

Question

Hello, i have a 320 sata and a old 40g ide that has pitures the bios sees them and when i boot the system up and go to my computer the ide drive is not there. went to device manager and it shows that its there and working properly what am i missing want to transfer the pitures to the new sata drive.Only jumpers that i have on is the cdrom.

hi there,

remove the jumper just for some time and put

it on slave or cs

then transfer your file

or put the ide h.disk in an external casing

RE_MI is right. Either purchase some jumpers to place onto all your hardware, or place the jumper onto your slave drive. I would just purchase a bag of jumpers from your local comp shop. However, if you are like me, and there are none (sadly) then...
