How do i get the data from a dead pendrive

Hello,

my 1GB pendrive got shut off (it doesn't read from any computer and even the light which indicates that the pendrive is working is also not blinking. i think it is dead...but I've got some important years work in that small pendirve and havn't saved it any other PC . Any idea's that i could get the data back from this pen drive.
