Removing Anti Virus System

Hello,
Installing a new anti virus software. It's telling me it detects AVG Anti-Virus 7.1 & it must be removed before I can continue. Yet I cannot find the program anywhere. It is not listed in Add/Remove Programs and I've deleted all file names with AVG. I cannot find it to delete it so I can't continue with the installation. How do I delete it?

Did you try the removal tools from AVG
