PS3 not playing Blue-Ray

Hello,

My PS3 can display the “menu” of the Blue-Ray movie BUT once I select play, the TV loses the signal.
Any ideas why?
Any ideas what how can I fix it?

your tv must be hd

what is the model ?

and does it support hd picture?

please give more information
